Florence Area Humane Society - Contact and Adoption Info

All pet adoptions go through the Florence Area Humane Society staff.   All prospective adopters must complete a FAHS pre-adoption application.  Upon completion of a pre-adoption application, the prospective adopter will be interviewed by an approved FAHS representative.  If deemed necessary, the FAHS representative may require a site visit at the location where the animal will be placed.  After these steps have been completed, the prospective adopter will be notified if adoption is approved/disapproved. The FAHS has the right to refuse an adoption if the adopter refuses to comply with the terms in their contract. If an adoption is questionable, prior to approval, a FAHS representative should consult with the Shelter Supervisor and FAHS Board.
