The City of Florence Maintenance Group is located at the Florence Wastewater Management Facility site. Maintenance has personnel with mechanical, electrical, operational and PLC expertise.
Maintenance is not limited to assisting the wastewater and water divisions only. The Maintenance Group works in coordination with all departments of the City. Maintenance also installs and removes the Christmas decorations during the holiday season.
Our day by day duties include troubleshooting and repair of lift stations, wastewater management facility equipment, ground and surface water plant equipment, recreational and athletic facilities, City gateways, downtown street lights, etc.
Also provided by the Maintenance Group is on-call staff support that serves 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. Staff members work on-call on a rotating 7-day basis. The on-call support gives round the clock technical/mechanical/electrical support for the City of Florence departments and facilities. The Department also supports special functions such as the Pecan Festival, Florence after 5, and any event by the city that has need of our services.
